Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 33-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is facing charges after police responded to a reported break and enter at a Selkirk Street residence Wednesday afternoon.
Chatham-Kent police said officers were called around 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 17 and found a window had been forced open. Inside the home, police located the woman and placed her under arrest.
She has been charged with breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence. Police said further investigation revealed she was bound by a probation order with conditions not to be near the residence. She was additionally charged with failing to comply with a probation order.
The woman was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where she remains in custody awaiting bail.
