Mrs. Nowella Ortibus, a longtime resident of Wallaceburg passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, September 20th, 2025 at CKHA, Chatham, On.
Nowella was predeceased by her great granddaughter Wren Dobbelaar and husband Edward Ortibus, parents Rene and Catherine Desangher, her sisters Mary Booth (Arthur) and Suzanne (Ray) Primeau and brother Andy Desangher. Loving mother to Karrie (Warren) Oke, Connie (Pat) Murphy, Mike (Beth) Ortibus, Janet (Lee) Chatterton. Sister-in-law Shirley Desangher. Sadly missed by 9 loving grandchildren, Leslie Oke, Lindsay (Aaron) McLaughlin, Amy (Michael) Dickerson, Brice Snippe, Courtney Snippe, Wyatt Ortibus, Samantha Ortibus, Kaitlyn (Shane) Dobbelaar, Brady (Kaitlyn) Chatterton. Sadly missed by 7 great grandchildren, Natalie, Hayden, Blake, Ava, Sawyer, Brinley, Sutton. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Riverview Gardens 4th floor staff and CKHA 4th floor staff for the excellent care given.
Per her request, there will be no funeral services however; a family Grave Site Ceremony will take place at a later date.
Her final arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff of Nicholls Funeral Home, Wallaceburg.
