On Tuesday, January 27, 2026, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Edith Roslyn Phillip, left us peacefully at the age of 85.
Her beautiful soul will be held dearly by her children Brian (Tessa Gittens), Beverly Cassell (Colin Cassell), and Wade Phillip (Joann St. Bernard); her grandchildren, Christel Rouse, Tyrese, Jaelen, and Eniya Gittens, and Darren Edgehill (Aleshanee Longboat-Edgehill); her great-grandchildren Valencia Gittens, Janiiyah and DaevYon Longboat, Chrishel, Oshea, and Dylan Phillip; her sisters Kathlyn Alexis, Margaret Charles, and Sharon Smith (Richard Smith); her brothers Dandley (Barbara Charles), Wilfred (Sandra Charles), Justin (Jean Charles), and Selwyn Charles (Donna (Charles); her nieces Denise Matthias and Ferryann Joseph; and her nephews Cecil Joseph Timothy, and Lydon Joseph. She is comforted in eternal peace as she reunites in heaven with her beloved grandson, Darren Edgehill and brother Justin Charles. She will be deeply missed by her many other relatives, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrate Her Life at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231) on Sunday, February 1, 2026 with visiting from 2:30pm until the time of her funeral service at 4pm.
