Two local churches are inviting the public to enjoy pancake suppers this week in support of community programs and church maintenance.
St. James Anglican Church in Wallaceburg will host an all-you-can-eat pancake supper on Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at 719 James Street. The cost is $8 for adults, $3 for children aged six to 12, and free for children five and under. Takeout is available. Proceeds will support Vacation Bible Camp, scheduled for July 6 to 10 at Knox Presbyterian Church. For information, call 519-627-1013, 519-627-6325, or contact any Vacation Bible Camp representative.
On the same day, Walpole Island’s St. John the Baptist Anglican Church will host a pancake supper from 3 to 7 p.m. Guests can choose from pancakes with sausages, drink and dessert, or a ham plate with scalloped potatoes, vegetables, drink and dessert. Plates are $12 each, with proceeds going toward repairs and maintenance of the church.
