R.I.D.E program in Wallaceburg results in warnings and charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police conducted a R.I.D.E. program in Wallaceburg over the weekend, checking dozens of vehicles.

Police say officers stopped 80 vehicles during the enforcement initiative on the evening of March 22 and early morning hours of March 23, 2026.

The initiative resulted in five Highway Traffic Act warnings and two provincial offence notices for seatbelt violations.
