Huron Shores Area Transit is reminding residents that several discount programs are available to help make local travel more affordable. Seniors aged 65 and older, along with Canadian Veterans, can receive 20% off regular fares and monthly passes through the Transit Discount Pass program. Applicants are required to show government identification when applying.
An income‑based annual pass is also available for eligible residents who are experiencing financial hardship. The pass is offered at a cost of $84 per year.
These programs are open to residents of Lambton Shores, South Huron, Plympton‑Wyoming, Bluewater, and Kettle & Stony Point First Nation.
