Veloria May Patterson, a member of Walpole Island First Nation, passed away at her home in Windsor on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at the age of 62. Veloria is the daughter of the late Pete & Amanda (Gilbert) Contreras. Dear mother of Frank, Michelle, Alicia, Kenneth, Joseph and Veloria. Sister of Harvey, Searle, Marlene, Pete, Leonard and the late Ronald, Helena, Elaine and Theresia.
The funeral service will be celebrated at the Walpole Island Evangelistic Centre, 156 Dan Shab Road, Walpole Island at 1 PM on Wednesday, May 13. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11 am – 1 pm in the two hours prior to the service. Interment to follow at Highbanks Cemetery.
