The agency said rainfall amounts between 30 and 50 millimetres are possible as a low pressure system tracks across the area.
Environment Canada said the system is expected to bring heavy rain starting tonight and lasting into Saturday evening.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local forecasts and alerts for updated information.
For flooding information, residents can consult their local conservation authority or the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. Additional flood information is available through the provincial government.
Environment Canada said severe weather reports can be submitted by email to ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or on X using the hashtag #ONStorm.
