The St. Clair Catholic District School Board has approved $2.74 million in new capital projects for the 2025-26 school year, with investments focused on accessibility, security and building renewal projects across several schools.
Trustees approved the projects during the board’s regular meeting on May 26.
The newly approved work includes accessibility and security upgrades at Holy Family Catholic School valued at $292,545, accessibility upgrades at Holy Rosary Catholic School and St. Philip Catholic School totalling $549,759, and a partial roof replacement at Sacred Heart Catholic School in Port Lambton valued at $670,669.
Additional projects include portable classroom installations at St. Angela Merici Catholic School and St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School at a cost of $351,993, accessibility upgrades at St. Anne Catholic School in Sarnia valued at $594,909, and accessibility and security upgrades at St. Elizabeth Catholic School costing $283,299.
The six projects represent a combined investment of approximately $2.74 million.
The approvals follow $1.59 million in capital projects approved by the board at its April 28 meeting. Those projects included rear asphalt and yard improvements at St. Anne Catholic School in Blenheim valued at $373,844 and a partial roof replacement at St. Matthew Catholic School in Sarnia valued at $1,217,814.
With the latest approvals, the board’s total capital investment for the 2025-26 school year now exceeds $4.33 million.
Board officials said the investments demonstrate St. Clair Catholic’s ongoing commitment to providing safe, modern and inclusive learning environments for current and future students and staff.
