Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 58-year-old Wallaceburg man is facing an impaired driving charge following a traffic stop in Wallaceburg on Wednesday evening.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said it received a complaint about a possible impaired driver on First Street at about 7:07 p.m. on June 10.
Police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Officers required the driver to provide a roadside breath sample using an approved screening device, which the driver failed, according to police.
The man was arrested and transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters for further testing.
As a result of the investigation, he was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
He was later released with a future court date of July 16, 2026.
