Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 51-year-old Blenheim woman is facing an assault charge following an intimate partner violence investigation.
Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a residence in Blenheim at about 11:39 p.m. on June 24.
Police said an investigation determined a verbal argument between two individuals escalated, resulting in one partner allegedly assaulting the other and causing cuts to the victim’s face.
The Blenheim woman was arrested and charged with assault.
She was transported to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where she was released with conditions. She is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 5.
