With heavy hearts we wish to announce the passing of Doreen (Née Burm) Bogaart, age 84, on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Daughter of the late Louis and Emily (Née Van Damme) Burm. Beloved wife of the late John Bogaart (2022). Loving mother of Marianne (the late Pat) Murphy, Mark (Bonnie) Bogaart, Steven (Tina) Bogaart and the late Robert Bogaart.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Steven (Morgan), Lauren (Cody), Brandon, Nicholas (Sara), Leah (Eric), Brianna (Brody) and her great grandchildren Hank, Coulter, Waylon, Ryan, Claire and Nora. Kind sister and sister in law of Jean (the late George) VanDamme, Joan (the late Paul) Bogaert, Henry Laevens (the late Marjorie). Predeceased by her brothers Joseph (the late Paula) Burm, Constant (the late Diane) Burm, and her in laws Mary (Julien) Vancoillie and Annie (Jerome) Everaert.She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, family, and friends. Doreen cherished her family, friends, faith and life on the farm. She was a member of the Our Lady of Help Catholic Women’s League. She loved caring for her garden and will always be known for her baking especially her butter tarts and homemade raisin bread.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, Ontario on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 6-9 p.m.The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11 a.m., from Our Lady of Help Church in Wallaceburg.Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg.
