Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Jeanettes Creek and Coutts Line in Tilbury Township.
Emergency services responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection on Aug. 5, 2026, at approximately 6 p.m. A pickup truck travelling westbound on Coutts Line collided with a dump truck travelling southbound within the intersection.
The 44-year-old male driver of the pickup truck sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the dump truck sustained minor injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, members of the Traffic Management Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Jeanettes Creek and Coutts Line were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
