14 volunteers have been nominated for the 2026 Chatham-Kent Senior Achievement Award, with a winner set to be announced later this month.
The nominees are Francine Bellefleur, Roy Cornell, Sandra Crevits, Maurice Devlaminck, Brian Doidge, Norine Duck, Shirley Lalonde, Dianne Lloyd, Mary Ann McCrae, Bob McGregor, David Middleton, Barbara Jean Mireau, Cliff Steptoe and John Travis.
“The list of nominees for CK Senior of the Year are always inspiring, and this year is no different,” said Alysson Storey, Chair of the Celebration of Older Adults Committee. “Across Chatham-Kent seniors are making our community better every single day with their dedication and generosity. It’s wonderful to see.”
The 2026 Chatham-Kent Senior of the Year will be announced during the free Aging Well Conference on Wednesday, September 16 at Hidden Hills Golf & Country Club. The event is open to all, but registration is required by emailing ckmayor@chatham-kent.ca or calling 519-436-3219.
