OPP officials allege: A Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere program has resulted in one individual being charged in Plympton-Wyoming.
Members of the Lambton County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted the RIDE program on Mandaumin Road near Highway 402 shortly before 10:30 p.m. on September 8, 2026.
A 59-year-old from Sarnia was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.
A 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment were initiated as per statute.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on October 22, 2026.
OPP are urging members of the public to report impaired driving by calling 911 in emergency situations. Complaints of impaired, aggressive or careless driving can also be made by calling 1-888-310-1122.
