The Lord Selkirk Bridge is back open to traffic.
The Wallaceburg bridge on McNaguthon Avenue, between Dufferin Avenue and Wallace Street, was closed to vehicular traffic on Monday evening.
Stephen Jahns, manager of infrastructure and transportation, said the bridge was closed due to condition issues identified at the south approach/landing of the structure.
We’re waiting to hear back from the Municipality with more details.
The busy bridge has an average of 20,000 vehicles travelling over it every day.
Here is our latest story featuring a interview with Jahns: Lord Selkirk Bridge will remain closed
