Gas prices across the country continue to fall.
In Wallaceburg, the price of regular gas dropped below 80 cents per litre today (Jan. 16) to 79.5 at Mac’s Convenience Store.
According to GasBuddy.com, a website dedicated to tracking the fluctuating prices of gas in Canada and the U.S., the national average is 89.595 per litre, and in Ontario specifically the average price per litre is 89.595.
Crude oil is currently at selling at $47.120 per barrel – a 60 per cent decrease since a high of $114 a barrel in June of 2014.
Experts are predicting that with the falling gas prices combined with the low Canadian dollar, the tourism industry in Canada should see a boost.
Also, some reports suggest people will be saving at least $25 a week due to the low cost in gas.
