Richard Eugene age 64 of Mitchell’s Bay passed away Thursday March 19, 2015 at his residence.
Born in Chatham son of the late Eugene McLachlin, (Annette VanGoethem) and Evelyn (Hart) Peacock (Ross). Richard’s favourite pastime was riding and training his horse Sonny. He will be sadly missed by Mitsy and Muffin. Survived by his wife Lynn (Herbert), daughters: Tamara Watson ( Decker) of California and Crystal McLachlin (Jeff) of New Castle, son: Jason McLachlin (Stephanie) of Bowmanville, seven grandchildren, sister: Connie Toulouse (Kevin) of Chatham, niece: Colleen O’Rourke (Rich) of Chatham, step-sister Marie VanGoethem, step-brothers Wayne (Sharon) & Jerry VanGoethem (Cindy), several nephews and nieces, father-in-law Jack Herbert (predeceased 2012), mother-in-law Winnie Herbert, brother-in-law to Gail Zelina (Pat), Scott Herbert (Kelly) and Pam Herbert (Ray). Cremation has taken place at Resurrection Cemetery and Crematorium Sarnia.
A private family Memorial Service will take place in the chapel of the Thomas L. DeBurger Funeral Home, 620 Cross St., Dresden Wednesday March 25, 2015 with Rev. Tyler Powell officiating. Interment in Mayhew Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Thamesville.
