Alan Welsh of Sarnia and formerly Wallaceburg, Peacefully and surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday September 9, 2014 at Bluewater Health in Sarnia.

Alan is the beloved son of Jaqueline Welsh and the late Frank Welsh (2007).

Predeceased by his sister Janet Welsh (2014).

Survived by his aunt Jean and Uncle Eric.

Also survived by his cousins; Greg (Gloria), Jeff, Camilla (Mike), and Daniel (his Godson), and Bill, Bunny, Wendy, Karen and Alan.

He will be sadly missed by his four footed friend Max.

Alan worked as a letter carrier for Canada Post for almost 30 years.

Words cannot express the gratitude we feel to his faithful friends from the post office; Patti, Suzanne, Barry, Connie, Wendy, Cathy N., Margit, Mark, Catherine C., Stacey, Jackie, Sheila, Donna and especially Kathy P, Carl, Linda and Andy – Your wonderful gifts of food, help with the house and yard, dog walking, driving and companionship were a constant and unwavering support to Alan during the last difficult year.

Thank you to Dr. Dostaler for your kindness, compassion and care. Thank you also to Dr. Yoshida and Dr. Suryavanshi and the staff at Bluewater Health Oncology Clinic, Palliative Care, and C.C.A.C.

There will be a graveside service at Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg on Saturday September 13 at 1 pm.
