Sheldon Parsons – Ward 5, Wallaceburg

SHELDON PARSONS

“For those of you who know me, you know I have worked hard for the community of Wallaceburg.

You know I have worked to protect the pool, the bridge and the hospital – as well as many other important projects that this community needs.

For those of you who don’t know me:

– 65 years young

– Married to Lynne for 45 years

– Father of John, Christine, Bryan and Andrew

– Lived and worked here since 1974

I am a faithful member of St. James Anglican Church and proud founder and supporter of James Street Ministries, Mom’s Baby Cupboard and our Community Meal program.

A long standing Life Member of the Kinsmen Club of Wallaceburg and founder of the Kinsmen and Hometown Bingo, builder of the Kinsmen Community Centre and supporter of the many projects and programs that make up the Kinsmen’s Communities Greatest Needs including our annual Rib Fest.

There isn’t an organization that I haven’t worked with.

I am founder of WATCH’s recycling program. I was Bar Sales Director with WAMBO.

I was parade chairman with the K of P Santa Claus Parade.

I was local chair of the United Way campaign.

I led the membership drive for the Hospital Board and now serve as Vice-Chair of that Board working to protect the health care services for this community.”
