Police are investigating after a body was recovered from the St. Clair River
OPP officials say on September 21 at 9:40 a.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received information that a pleasure craft operator had located a deceased male in the St. Clair River in the area of the Mooretown boat launch.
The OPP Marine Unit attended and recovered the deceased and returned him to shore at which time the regional coroner’s office attended and took carriage of the investigation.
The OPP crime unit is working in concert with the coroner’s office, the Sarnia Police Service and American law enforcement agencies in an attempt to identify the deceased.
