The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man for failing to comply with his release conditions.
On January 24, 2014 the man was released from custody with conditions. One of those conditions was not to communicate with a specific Wallaceburg woman.
On Tuesday night around 7:20 p.m. the woman was exiting a store on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg when the man approached her in the parking lot and began a conversation. The woman entered her vehicle but could not drive away as the man had blocked her path.
The man kicked the woman’s car door and left the area in his own car. The woman’s vehicle was not damaged.
Approximately 15 minutes later, the man called the woman on her cell phone. The woman hung up the phone.
Around 11:30 p.m. police located the man and he was arrested. The 38-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with two counts of failing to comply. He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing
