Vote for the Healthy Kids Community Challenge

Children-Playing

The Municipality of Chatham-Kent is applying for a grant to implement activities that support healthy eating, physical activity, and good sleeping habits for children and youth in Chatham-Kent. The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care will select thirty communities from across the province that will each receive up to $1.5M over four years for activities that help kids be healthy now and into their future.

“Community health is one of our top priorities,” said Mayor Randy Hope. “Healthy communities are vibrant, strong communities. A provincial grant would do much to help us achieve that goal.”

The municipality asked citizens to submit suggestions. Now it’s time to vote for your favourite!

The top five names are:

1) Healthy KICK (Kids In CK)

2) Super Kids CK

3) Healthy Kids, Healthy Future

4) Eat, Sleep, Play CK

5) Activate to be Great!
