Chatham man dies in crash outside Blenheim

The Chatham-Kent police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision that occurred last night.

At about 7:30 p.m. police, fire, and paramedics were called to Cundle Line between Lagoon Road and Fargo Road in response to a serious single motor vehicle collision.

A black pick-up truck had been travelling eastbound when it lost control, left the road, struck and hydro pole, became airborne, rolled multiple times and came to rest in a field on the north side of the road.

The lone male occupant, a 28-year-old Chatham-Kent man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The total property damage is estimated at $30,000. Cundle Line was closed for several hours while officers investigated.
