The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a domestic disturbance in Wallaceburg.
Yesterday, a man and woman began arguing when it escalated into a physical altercation.
It is alleged that the man struck the woman while he was holding their infant daughter.
The woman took control of the child and left the house to call police.
Neither the woman nor child required medical attention.
The 24-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with assault.
He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
