The Wallaceburg Red Devils lost a close game on Friday to the Windsor Clippers 12-11, but redemmed themselves the following night by beating Welland 12-7 in Ontario Junior ‘B’ Lacrosse League action.
Windsor 12 – Wallaceburg 11
The Clippers scored the first 4 goals on the night, and the last 4 as well, enroute to the close victory.
Corey Lucier led the way for Wallaceburg with 4 goals and 2 assists.
Mitch Gagnier chipped in with 1 goal and 3 assists.
Noble Jacons stopped 39 shots in the loss.
Wallaceburg 12 – Welland 7
Mike Myers and Jordan Durston were back in action against Welland leading the way for the Red Devils.
Myers had 5 goals and 3 assists, whole Durston chipped in with 2 goals and 6 assists.
Evan Mathany added 2 goals and 2 assists a well.
Eric Shepley made 32 saves for the win.
