A blood donor is taking place today (May 22) in Wallaceburg.
The Canadian Blood Services will be setting up shop at the UAW Hall in Wallaceburg from 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 88 Elm Street.
Marisa Gatfield, the local territory manager for the Canadian Blood Services, said every minute of every day, someone in Canada needs blood.
Gatfield added on average about one out of two Canadian are eligible to give blood, however last year only 1 in 60 Canadians actually donated.
“We’re looking to close that gap,” she said.
