Nora Loyst (nee Sharpe) from Dresden

NORA-BODKIN-275x300Loyst: Nora (nee Sharpe), a resident of Dresden, passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham on Saturday, June 14, 2014 at the age of 76.

Born in Dresden, daughter of the late Lloyd and Sarah (Gatecliff) Sharpe.

Nora was a member and Elder of the Rutherford Presbyterian Church.

She volunteered for many years with Meals on Wheels, was a member of the Dresden Legion Band.

Nora loved to dance and loved being a member of the Domino Gang. Beloved wife of the late James Loyst.

Loving mother of Darlene Loyst (Al Taylor) of Port Stanley, Donna Loyst of Dresden, and Harold Loyst of Belle River.

Loving grandmother of, Joy, Crystal, Peter Loyst, Rients Hettinga and Katrin Taylor.

Sadly missed by great-grand son Liam Wright. Dear sister of Linda Vince (Elwin) of Fletcher.

Predeceased by brothers Lorne, Robert, and Donald and sisters Rowena and Pauline.

The Loyst family will receive friends at the Badder Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 679 North St., Dresden on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm.

The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at 1:30pm with Rev. Andy Cornell officiating.

Interment Owen Cemetery, Dover Twp. Donations may be made at the funeral home by cheque to the Alzheimers Society or Meals on Wheels.
