Canada Day kicks off with Legion Fishing Derby

The first event on the Canada Day docket in Wallaceburg is along the shores of the Sydenham River.

More specifically, at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. 18 for the annual kid’s fishing derby.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., with registration starting at 8:30 a.m.

The derby is being held in honour of Taiya Talbot and Tyler Bernard.

The bait is being supplied for the event.

The kids will also get a free hot-dog and pop as well.

Prizes will be up for grabs, including draws for two girls and two boys bicycles.
