The work has started on McNaughton Avenue in Wallaceburg.
Crews are on site, and traffic is being reduced to one lane is some spots.
As part of the Urban Resurfacing contract, Coco Paving will be conducting the work in Wallaceburg, to mill the existing asphalt surface on McNaughton Avenue from the CSX tracks to the Lord Selkirk Bridge.
Before the end of the month the paving crew will install new asphalt surface, officials said.
The work had been pushed back for WAMBO.
