Dover man faces numerous driving charges

The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man following a traffic stop in Dover Township yesterday afternoon.

Around 3:00 p.m. an officer observed a vehicle speeding on Bearline Road. The officer initiated a traffic stop. The driver fled on foot but was located within minutes in a nearby bean field. Through investigation, the officer learned that the man was currently bound by three separate driving prohibitions and has been banned from driving for life.

A 56 year-old man from Bush Line in Dover Centre has been charged with three counts of driving while disqualified. He was released with conditions pending a future court date.
