The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man and woman wanted in connection with a theft in Wallaceburg.
On September 1, 2014 around 3:45 p.m. the pair entered O’Flynn and Burgess Variety Store on McNaughton Avenue.
The woman distracted the employee while the man stole about $60 worth of lottery tickets.
The man and woman fled the store prior to police arrival.
Through investigation, police identified the pair and warrants were issued for their arrest.
Shortly after 2:00 a.m. this morning, police located the man and woman.
They were both arrested and transported to police headquarters.
A 44-year-old man of Dufferin Avenue in Wallaceburg has been charged with theft under $5000.
He has been released with conditions pending a future court date.

According to the criminal code, robbery is theft including the use of violence or the threat of violence.
