Aging Friendly Accessible Communities
The current demographics show that average age changes within our community demonstrate higher number of senior adults and a lower numbers of youth. While we work to increase sustainable jobs, youth retention and welcome new comers and business we also need to embrace future projections. We need to be prepared to work together to support our Senior Adults. We need to ensure that our Health Facilities remain intact within Wallaceburg to meet the needs of our residents. We need to support events and programs held by the Wallaceburg Senior Centre and the Adult Activity Centre to increase awareness of the great programs they offer. We can help to keep our senior adults active, stronger and healthy.
As a Councillor I will work to support local age friendly efforts. I will put information back into the hands of residents of Wallaceburg that will help build a strong age friendly community.
