Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith scored his first career NHL goal on Friday night.
And it didn’t take him long to score his second.
Griffith scored a goal at the 2:31 mark of the second period in a pre-season game between the Boston Bruins and the Washington Capitals.
The 21-year-old then scored his second of the night at the 15:43 mark of the second period.
Both of Griffith’s goals put the Bruins up by a goal each time, but the Capitals kept clawing their way back into the game.
After being sent to overtime, the Capitals scored in the extra frame completing the 5-4 win.
Griffith finished the game with the two goals on only two shots in 15:46 minutes of ice time.
He was also named the third star of the contest.
The Bruins play in Detroit Saturday night in back-to-back games.
There has been no official word whether Griffith will suit up or not.
The Bruins are obviously taking a closer look at Griffith this training camp, as they released 10 players on Thursday and assigned them to the AHL.
