Domestic violence leads to charges in Wallaceburg

On the 28th of September 2014 at about 6:30 p.m. Chatham-Kent Police responded to an address in Wallaceburg after a woman fled her home with her child after being assaulted.

The victim did not require medical assistance.

As a result of the investigation, a 23 year old man from Wallaceburg was charged with three counts of Assault and three counts of Mischief under $5,000 and held for a bail hearing.

  1. I’m curious… does it make it more important or less important to label violent assault as being “domestic?” Is the pain, suffering and humiliation different because it’s domestic? It’s time to change the laws. Violent Assault hurts, bleeds and scars no matter what you call it.
