Brent DeNure filed his nomination papers on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 and is running for Chatham-Kent Council, representing Ward 5 – Wallaceburg.
DeNure joins a growing list of candidates vying for one of two spots in Wallaceburg, joining Brendan Authier, Loree Bailey, Steven Burritt, Mark Childs, Jason Debuck, Dave Hyatt, Zac Nicholson and Chris Young.
Both of Wallaceburg’s current Councillors, Carmen McGregor and Aaron Hall, have stated publicly they won’t be seeking re-election.
Election day is Monday, October 26, 2026.
