Three men critically injured in 401 crash

Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are continuing their investigation into a collision which occurred on Highway 401 near Kent Bridge Road on October 6, 2014, just before 8:00 a.m.

The 33 year old passenger from Windsor, Israfil Kilic, remains in a London hospital in critical condition.

The driver, 37 year old Ismail Durmus, and 32 year old passenger, Hanifi Ozdemir, both from North York, have been transferred to a London hospital in critical condition.

The investigation is continuing.

The incident occurred yesterday just before 8 a.m.

Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers, Chatham-Kent Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Harwich Volunteer Fire Department responded to the motor vehicle collision involving a single vehicle on Highway 401 near Kent Bridge Road.

For reasons unknown at this time, a Pontiac minivan travelling westbound on Highway 401 left the roadway, entered the centre median and then back into the westbound lanes, where it came to rest on its side on the highway.
