The constituency office for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex MP Bev Shipley in Wallaceburg is being closed for the day.
“Parliament Hill security has asked that we close our offices in Wallaceburg and Strathroy,” said Pat Davis, chief of staff for Bev Shipley.
This moves comes in the wake of a shooting on Parliament Hill this morning in Ottawa.
Shipley is currently on lockdown in a secure location in Ottawa.
The Sydenham Current also spoke with Wallaceburg’s Brittany Fish, who is a lawyer in Ottawa.
She is also on lockdown at her Ottawa office.
