Velma Marie Clancy, a resident of Sombra, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at the age of 95.
Velma is the daughter of the late Abraham & Caroline (Barron) Mulhern.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 1991. Loving mother of Margaret, Thomas (Susan), Patrick (Donna), Rosemary, Raymond (Neala), Gerald (Lori), Maureen and Colleen.
Dear grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 7 grandchildren.
Sister of Mary Ann & Bernard Allore and Gerald Mulhern and the late Barron & Beatrice Mulhern.
Velma was a proud member of Sombra St. John Catholic Women’s League and the Thornyhurst Women’s Institute.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 2-4 & 7-9 PM on Friday.
The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Port Lambton on Saturday, November 1 at 10:30 AM with visiting at the church in the hour prior.
Interment to follow at St. John Cemetery, Sombra. If desired, remembrances to St. John Cemetery may be left at the funeral home. 519.627.3231.
