Dear friends:
United Way of Chatham-Kent and The Salvation Army would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the many individuals who donated coats to this year’s “Operation Cover-Up” Program.
To date, approximately 1,700 warm winter coats have been received for distribution. This number compares to the 1,515 coats which were distributed to local men, women, boys and girls during last year’s program.
The partners in this year’s program would also like to acknowledge the contributions made by the various dry cleaners throughout Chatham-Kent – along with members of the Chatham-Kent Professional Firefighters Association Local 486 and Chatham-Kent Police Service who donated their off-duty hours to pick-up coats from the various drop-off locations.
The Distribution Period for this year’s Operation Cover-Up Program will extend to Saturday, 2014 NOV 15. Coupons for warm winter coats can be picked up at The Salvation Army Family Services, ODSP, Employment and Social Services and United Way Offices in Tilbury, Wallaceburg and Chatham.
As the cooler weather will soon be here, those wishing a warm winter coat can take their coupons to one of the following distribution locations during regular store hours:
– Chatham – The Salvation Army Thrift Store
– Blenheim – The Salvation Army Food Bank at the Blenheim Baptist Church
– Ridgetown – The Salvation Army Thrift Store
– Tilbury – Tilbury Information and HELP Centre
– Wallaceburg – The Salvation Army Thrift Store
Thank you to all who have, once again, gone above and beyond – to answer the need.

It’s a great day to change lives!
