A local family heard the Wallaceburg Animal Shelter was in need, so they took it upon themselves to put something together for them.
“We heard it advertised they were taking donations and thought let’s get a basket together for them,” said Chantal Lalande.
Lalande said Joey and Cheline Lalande were a big help in putting the basket together.
The basket contains blankets, cat and dog food and a cat/dog bed.
The shelter is still in need of blankets and food.
Drop by the shelter during the week between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., it is located at 105 Arnold Street.
