The Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch is looking to help families in need over the holiday season.
Between December 1st and December 21st, any cat or dog adopted from the Kent Branch shelter will be eligible for a discounted rate with a donation to Outreach For Hunger. For every pound of non-perishable human food donated, adopters will receive a $1 discount, up to a maximum of $25. However, donations over 25 pounds will gladly be accepted.
“The Holidays are a time to celebrate families,” says Robyn Brady, Community Relations Coordinator, Ontario SPCA Kent County Branch. “As our adopters are welcoming a new four-legged friend into their family, we’re asking them to think of other families that may not be as fortunate.”
Over the course of the three-week campaign, the Ontario SPCA Kent Branch aims to collect more than 200 pounds of non-perishable food. A full list of suggested donations can be found on the Outreach For Hunger website, http://www.outreachforhunger.com.
