LETTERS
Wallaceburg two councillors are asking for public input on the current water issue in the community.
Coun. Carmen McGregor: “If you are receiving this for the first time please take the time to review the options that were provided by the PUC at the last public meeting. Stantec the company that provided the Environmental Assessment are accepting comments and suggestions until the 12th of December. Councillor Wesley and I need the community to express their views as to the recommendations. Where our water comes from is a very important community decision. ‎Please take the time to send your thought and forward on to other community members. Thanks. – Carmen”
Coun. Jeff Wesley: “Please see (the presentation below) given at the recent public information meeting. Whatever your comments, concerns or questions please see the last page with contact information. ALL comments, concerns or questions need to be submitted by Dec. 12th. I strongly encourage you to do so.”

Here is what others are saying about the issue:
Gerald said on the Sydenham Current: “We’re fine the way we are.”
Nino said on Facebook: “I remember sitting at my dining-room table with three lawyers from The Environmental Protection Law Agency of Ontario ( at least that’s what I think the name was) hoping to launch a lawsuit against the Sarnia petro-chemical companies responsible for the notorious “Black Blob”. They told me I had to be “incorporated” or face a counter-suit. It was the year that Bob Rae came to the CBD and the CBC filmed the event……and I was on film. I’m pretty sure Jeff Wesley was mayor at the time, and he voted against a pipeline from Lake Huron, north of the petro-chemical plants. Jeff’s a great guy and we coached a hockey team together one year….my son and his sons. The bottom line is, he made a mistake back then, and I hope he doesn’t repeat it . I don’t want Chatham water.”
Annie said on Facebook: “Keep it the way it is!”
Heidi said on Facebook: “I drink at least 6 glasses a day !!! Why change something that is not needed!?!? Only answer I can come up with is work = money!”
Carolyn said on Facebook: “Ew. Why would anyone want to change to Lake Erie water? Isn’t that even MORE polluted? Chatham water is gross!”
