Little damage was caused this morning after a blaze in Wallaceburg.
Ric Scharf, assistant chief for the Chatham-Kent Fire Department, said Station #3 firefighters from Wallaceburg attended the fire at a house on Margaret Avenue.
“The call at 9 a.m. this morning was for a small garage fire that was caused by fireplace debris not being disposed of correctly,” Scharf told the Sydenham Current.
“The fire was noticed by the owner and was contained and extinguished quickly causing very little damage to the structure.”
