Toys gathered by Family Health Team in Wallaceburg

Wednesday, December 17 was not business as usual for the members of the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team.

Instead of providing health care for the entire community, the team focused on ensuring that the children of Wallaceburg and Chatham-Kent had a happier Christmas morning.

As part of the Annual CKFT Christmas Dinner attended by 91 of our 110 Doctors, Nurses, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Occupational Therapists and other team members, a toy drive produced a large number of teddy bears, dolls, sleds, Lego, and trains.

The space under the tree in the corner of the UAW Hall in Wallaceburg was completely covered and one can only imagine the joy that these gifts will bring to the children who receive them on Christmas morning.

The Chatham-Kent Family Health Team was thrilled to be able to be a part of this worthy endeavor.

Pictured are representatives of the Chatham-Kent Family Health Team and the Salvation Army when they came to pick up the toys for delivery to waiting children.
