The Wallaceburg Relay For Life event has eclipsed the $50,000 mark for fundraising.

While the May 31 event came up shy of the total directly after the event, a huge donation came in this past week from Scotia Bank in Wallaceburg.

Paul Bilodeau, chair of the committee, was handed a cheque for $3,000 to push them over the mark.

The 2014 number marks the biggest total in the four-year history of the event in Wallaceburg.
