If you love animals, believe in animal welfare philosophies, and want to help in lifesaving efforts, this is a rewarding and satisfying volunteer opportunity. You can volunteer daily, weekly, or make a one-time commitment.

How to become a volunteer:

Your efforts and passion will create a greater awareness of animal welfare issues and opportunities, and enable the organization to provide more care and find more homes for animals in the communities they serve.

* The Ontario SPCA requires all volunteers must be 14 years or older to participate in our volunteer program.

3. You will be contacted by email to set up an orientation if your skills and availability match the current positions. Applicants to the volunteer program are accepted based on suitability, interest, skills and our available positions. Due to the high volume of requests the they cannot guarantee a placement for all qualified applicants. Only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

If you are the successful candidate, Basic Introductory Training and Placement Training will be provided. Once your training has been completed, you’re ready to begin!
