Port Lambton’s Sean Pollock reached some career milestones in a season opening road win in the National Lacrosse League on Saturday.
As the Colorado Mammoth beat the Minnesota Swarm 20-13, Pollock recorded three goals and three assists in the game, including his 200th goal, 300th assist and 500th point of his 12-year NLL career.
“For a guy who was [drafted] fourth round, 40th overall, and to be able to play 12 years in the league, it’s something I never thought I’d get to on a personal level,” Pollock said on the Mammoth website.
The former Wallaceburg Red Devils was familiar with his surroundings on Saturday, as he spent seven years playing for Minnestoa and lives there with his family.
“Playing here for seven years – a lot of those points came here in this building – to have my wife and my son and extended family and friends and everybody in the building, it’s pretty cool,” he said.
The Mammoth play their home opener on Saturday against the Calgary Roughnecks.
