Crashes in Dover, Chatham and Blenheim lead to charges

Around 7:30 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Creek Line.

The driver lost control of his truck and left the roadway striking a hydro pole.

Luckily, he was not injured.

Total damage was estimated at $10,000.

The 17-year-old driver from Pain Court was charged with careless driving.

In a separate incident, a crash took place in Chatham yesterday.

Police say at approximately 3:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Grand Avenue West near Keil Drive.

No one was injured.

Total damage was estimated at $4,000.

An 88-year-old Chatham woman was charged with making a turn not in safety.

And just before 7:00 p.m. last night, emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision on Chatham Street near Talbot Street.

A 65-year-old Blenheim man was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention.

The other driver, a 31-year-old Ridgetown woman, was not injured.

Total damage was estimated at $5,000.

The Blenheim man was charged with careless driving.
