A local family is seeking help from the public to bring home a missing teen.

17-year-old Taiylor Whiteye was reported missing to Windsor Police on Tuesday, February 3.

Police confirmed with the Sydenham Current today (Feb. 6) that Whiteye was still missing.

Wallaceburg resident Christa Whiteye, Taiylor’s mom, told the Sydenham Current she is concerned for her daughter’s safety.

Whiteye said she believes Taiylor is being held against her will.

Whiteye said her family has contacted local media and First Nation communities, along with putting together a “missing person” flyer.

A Facebook page has been started to help with the search.

Whiteye said Taiylor was last seen getting into a black Dodge Ram pickup truck at her grandparents home on Walpole Island, on Sunday, Feb. 1.

Const. Andrew Drouillard of the Windsor Police Service said earlier today that they had no new information on the case.

If you have any information call the Windsor Police at 519-255-6700 ext. 4390 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).

We’ll provide more information when it becomes available.
